Fittings machining

The valve market is closely linked to the piping market and its connections. The ends of the pipes  have very different shapes and dimensions, in order to adapt to the needs of each application. It is often necessary to find a good solution for pipe machining.

At ARRI we have a very appropriate technology to provide the right solution to the problem of machining pipes and fittings:

Trevisan Turning Centers

These Trevisan turning centers are well known machines for valve body machining. For example, they are widely used for machining ball valve bodies, globe valve bodies, check valve bodies, plug valve bodies, butterfly and cryogenic butterfly valve bodies, gate valve bodies, etc.

At Talleres Mecánicos ARRI we have 5 Trevisan turning centers: Trevisan 1200, Trevisan 900, Trevisan 600 (2 units) and Trevisan 300. In addition to the wide range of machining offered by these machines, it is worth mentioning the extensive know-how that the company has in this technology and the development of special tools and modular clamping systems.

The high capacity offered by the Modular Clamping Systems of the Trevisan machines gives ARRI a special capacity to clamp all types of parts with special geometries.

Machining of pipes and fittings

As mentioned above, the machining of pipes and fittings is performed in cases where there are high specifications, welding ends or flanges. The dimensions and geometries of these parts can cover a wide range of sizes and shapes. At ARRI we can machine dimensions from 3" to 84".

The designs, based on the needs of each application, can be diverse: Elbows 45º, 60º, 90º, U-s, T-s, Reducers...

Thicknesses may vary if the application requires low pressures or high pressures. Also the type of material used can be different.

BENEFITS AND SOLUTIONS FOR THE CLIENT

ARRI has its own developments in tooling for Trevisan machines with a special feature: Modularity. They are adaptable to the different geometries of the part. This is a key point for the machining of the fittings.

Using a wide range of in-house designed tools complemented by commercial tools, ARRI can clamp mostly any part required by the customer.

Another added value is that the reaction time is immediate, in 24 hours ARRI can have the part ready to be machined thanks to Trevisan technology and its clamping solutions.

This has a direct impact on the customer, providing the following benefits:

  • COMPLIANCE WITH VERY SHORT DELIVERY TIME COMMITMENTS.
  • POSSIBILITY OF PARTIAL DELIVERIES BY MACHINING THE WORKPIECE IN A GO
  • PRECISION IN GEOMETRIC TOLERANCES.

All these developments are always focused on satisfying the needs of our customers.
